undertaking, a relatively simple looking collection that grew exponentially as the graphic applications intensified. The linear speed graphic I created was used for all PUMA assets across hundreds of styles and in over 50 color combos. The challenge in this project was to create a visual language flexible enough to be interpreted across bonded tapes, engineered jacquards, digital prints, sublimation, and in a digital context as To tie the narrative together I created graphics for a teaser jersey, inspired by the fastest and lightest particles in the universe ... Photons! The back graphic is a nod to the early experiments of Thomas Young - in which he demonstrated light behaved as both a wave and a particle. Explosive agility + undeniable speed, forever faster football now at full warp speed.
